Research Focus:
Although talents and disabilities appear to run in families, direct links between genes and behavioral disorders like dyslexia and schizophrenia have proved difficult to establish. Investigators are currently searching for endophenotypes, intermediate phenotypes with biological links to both genome and cognome. Our laboratory is pursuing the identification of reliable and valid endophenotypes in cortical anatomy using a variety of image processing techniques.
