McKnight Brain Institute
William G. Luttge Lectureship in Neuroscience
In 2012, the McKnight Brain Research Foundation endowed the University of Florida with $300,000 to establish a permanent annual lectureship as a memorial tribute to the late William G. “Bill” Luttge, PhD, the first director of UF’s Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute (MBI). Held each year and open to all audiences, the William G. Luttge Lectureship in Neuroscience explores inventive ideas and approaches to ensure healthy cognitive aging and to counter brain diseases.

Brain Awareness Week (BAW)
BAW is a global campaign to increase public awareness for brain research and to educate the community about the brain. Every year, the NCF SfN participates in BAW by hosting various events at UF and within local community.
Brain Bee
The Alachua Brain Bee is an annual neuroscience based Q&A competition for high school students, organized by the NCF SfN.
