North Central Florida Chapter for the Society of Neuroscience
This is the only student led-and-founded Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience. Every year, the Chapter organizes its own conference, which includes an invited, internationally recognized neuroscientist, a poster competition, a data blitz competition, a brain bee & a professional development roundtable.
Brain Awareness Week (BAW)
Every year, PhD students and postdocs in Neuroscience organize BAW activities for students at local K-12 public schools. Activities are age appropriate, and range from making brain hats in Kindergarten to dissecting sheep brains in middle school and leading to ethical & philosophical discussions in high school. Homeschoolers can attend BAW instruction at UF.

Clinical and Translational Science Institute
K College
Monthly luncheon seminar series for Ph.D. students, Postdoctoral researchers, Early-Stage Investigators & Early-Established investigators. Topics range from work-life balance to grant writing to identifying available core facilities. K College provides peer support and an opportunity for trainees of all levels to discuss needs & resources for career development in clinical & translational research.
Career & Professional Development Programs for Graduate Students & Postdocs
Includes career development seminars with speakers from various job sectors related to biomedical research.
Career Interest Teams
Broad-based introductory experiences for UF Health Ph.D. students & postdocs to familiarize themselves with possible career options in the biomedical sciences.
Biomedical Scientist as Educator Certificate
Prepares the next generation of biomedical scientists for proficiency as faculty.
