About Argyle Bumanglag

Dr. Bumanglag is a Research Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He received his PhD in Neuroscience with a minor in Pharmacology in 2010 from the University of Arizona. He went on to complete his first Postdoctoral Fellowship (2010-2012) at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and a second Postdoctoral Fellowship (2012-2019) at the Morehouse School of Medicine Neuroscience Institute in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Bumanglag is specialized in hippocampal pathophysiology in temporal lobe epilepsy.

Research Profile

Dr. Bumanglag oversees olfactory discrimination testing with olfactometers and touchscreen operant conditioning chambers. His research approach includes processing tissue, conducting immunohistochemistry, and image acquisition and analysis. Additionally, he assists with grant writing for program project proposals and research grants examining alterations in inhibitory/excitatory balance.
