Dr. Adithya Gopinath Receives NIH Award

We are proud to announce that Adithya Gopinath, Ph.D. has received a Notice of Award for a K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award from the National Institutes of Health.

This highly competitive award is designed to support promising postdoctoral researchers in their transition to independent faculty positions. The K99/R00 provides up to five years of grant support consisting of two phases: the Mentored Phase (K99) supports one to two years of mentored postdoctoral research training; the Independent Research Phase (R00) is a research project grant for up to three years, once the scientist secures an independent, tenure track faculty position. 

Dr. Gopinath’s achievement reflects both exceptional research accomplishments and strong potential for continued impact in the field. This award not only supports his career development but also strengthens UF’s commitment to fostering the next generation of scientific leaders.
