Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
With flu season around the corner, UF encourages everyone to be vaccinated. To schedule your vaccine appointment, please visit the portal at https://shcc.ufl.edu/services/primary-care/immunizations/vaccines/.
The flu shot can go a long way toward keeping you and others healthy. It is effective and of no cost to you, and side effects are minimal if they occur at all. If you choose to get vaccinated through UF, the Student Health Care Center offers a variety of appointment times and locations and adds new options frequently. Please be sure to bring your UFID and insurance card to your appointment.
Faculty and staff can also receive their flu vaccine at the annual Benefits & Wellness Fair on Friday, Oct. 11. This year’s fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Evans Champions Club at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
In addition to vaccines, the Student Health Care Center urges all members of the UF community to remember best practices to prevent illnesses, including frequent hand washing and staying home if you have a fever.
Thank you for all you are doing to curb the spread of illness and to ensure a productive and healthy semester for all.
