Congratulations to Alyssa Mickle for presenting her poster titled, “Breath-by-breath of a rat model of Pompe disease exposes deficits in high-frequency behaviors” at the 2024 American Physiological Society Summit that was held in Long Beach California. Neuroscience PhD Candidate and BREATH (Breathing Research and Therapeutics Center) T32 trainee, Alyssa’s research focus is in improving breathing function after spinal cord injury using epidural stimulation. Additionally, Alyssa won a Respiration Section Trainee Poster Award at the American Physiology Summit this year.
