John Koren, IIII, Ph. D. joins UF Neuroscience team

In September of 2020, research assistant professor, John Koren, Ph. D. joined the UF Department of Neuroscience team.

Koren works on researching the biophysical properties of tau aggregation and how to prevent or reverse the aggregation process. Koren has drug development projects active in Alzheimer’s disease, glaucoma, affective disorders, and refractory cancers.

Prior to his time at UF, Koren served as a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Service Research Award Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

At UF Department of Neuroscience, Koren is developing the tools to study and treat disorders that currently lack viable therapeutic options.

“I’m excited to join a team with a reputation for advancing basic neuroscience research,” says Koren.
