Key Words:  Modeling and Therapeutic Trials for Neurodegenerative Diseases: Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases, Frontotemporal Dementia, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Research Focus:
My research group is focused on creating, characterizing, and utilizing genetically manipulated mouse models of diseases of the brain and spinal cord, hereafter termed “neurodegenerative diseases.” These neurodegenerative diseases include Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Frontotemporal Dementia, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. In addition to the actual techniques needed to generate transgenic and gene targeted mouse models, I also have significant strengths in the neuropathological, biochemical, and molecular analysis of these models and the related human diseases.
